The CRLA is delighted that a record number of players registered to play community rugby league across the state in 2024.

More than 117,000 participants (117,566) signed up to play the game in 2024, which represented an increase of 4.6 per cent on 2023.
Male participants climbed past 87,000 (87,489) for the first time, while female participation recorded 14 per cent growth to reach almost 30,000 (29,686).
“It is great to see that there was significant growth in both metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW, as well as a record number of female participants," said Nathan Waugh, Chairman of the NSWCRLA.
“We thank all of our coaches, officials and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create a positive and inclusive culture to attract and retain more players," he added.
