Female participation in community rugby league is consistently growing stronger throughout the state, with a new record for female participants in Blues tag and Girls tackle competitions.

In early April 2025, NSWRL announced that, for the first time, there were over 30,000 female participants, accounting for 27% of the total registrations for 2025.

Competitions across 15 regions/areas for both seniors and juniors across NSW kicked off earlier this month including North Sydney, Parramatta, Manly, Canberra, Balmain, Woodbridge Cup (mid-west and central west NSW), Newcastle and Hunter, and the Central Coast.
