The NSWCRLA has provided $15,000 in funding to the Eugowra Golden Eagles to hire portable lighting for the Eugowra Sports Ground, after the Club lost everything in the devastating floods of 2022.
The lights meant both men’s and women’s teams were able to train at the fields throughout the 2024 season.
Nathan Waugh, Chairman of the CRLA said it's always a delight to support teams, be it Under 6s or A graders.
"Obviously the flooding in 2022 was of great concern," he said. "Woodbridge Cup President Andrew Pull raised the concerns about the Eugowra Club and if there were way of assisting. We've updated our strategic plan in the last 12 months and with that we needed to do more in terms of providing assistance to our members and this was a great project to get involved with."
The CRLA's strategic plan now sees them spend 80% of their funding each year on projects or grants that help its members, be that Clubs or the Leagues itself.
"What we ask for is Clubs or Leagues to get in touch with us. Let us know what the problem is and how we can help."
